10 Reasons I’m Glad I Live In Canada

Given the choice, I would rather live in Canada than in the USA. Why? Canada may not be the most influential country in the world but it is one of the politest and least dangerous. The following, in no particular order, are 10 reasons why I would choose Canada over the USA today.

1. Leadership

Canada does not have Donald Trump. Canadians are too sensible to elect a misogynistic, narcissistic, racist, bigoted bully to lead the country in these troubled times.

2. Administration

Canada does not have an administration system that allows the country’s leader to hide out in his residence and not answer to the political opposition parties face to face. In the parliamentary system, the country’s leader, in Canada’s case, the prime minister, has to be present in parliament to answer questions. No hiding out in his or her house. The Canadian government system mandates a time for holding the government’s feet to the fire called Question Period. Nothing like it exists in the U.S. political system.

3. Health Care

Canada has a very good national health system in spite of what the Republican party neocons say. Though not perfect, a recent survey from a leading indicator points to the…
