Most of these are well known and so I guess I can be accused of preaching to the converted, but, just as bad habits are difficult to lose, it is just as difficult to ingrain good habits.

1. Face Masks

Facemasks are just like any products; some are good, some mediocre, and some downright poor. Now nine months into the pandemic, there are still no actual standards for consumer face masks. It is very simple to do your homework on this Covid reducing device. Either contact your local health authority or check out a suitable website where you can get the facts. A good resource in this respect is this one from the CBC in Canada.

Many jurisdictions around the world mandate facemask wearing when in a public indoor location or using public transport. Others suggest you wear one. Many retail outlets require masks when entering their stores. Many do not. I personally take the position, when in doubt, wear a mask.

2. Personal Hygiene

This one is a real no-brainer. Wash your hands wherever possible either with soap and water or with a government-approved hand sanitizer. My wife and I have a rule. If we have been out, even just for a few minutes, the first thing we do is when back home is head for the bathroom and wash our hands.
