10 Tips For Having A Great Day

The great thing about being a homo sapien (modern human) is we do not rely entirely on instinct to get through each day. With our amazing brain, we can make decisions about how we view others, how we respond to certain situations and whether we are going to have a good day or a bad day.

Want to have a good day? Put a smile on your face when you walk out the door. Can’t do that? Think of a funny situation you were in or remember a joke you found really funny. Sure some people are going to look at you curiously or suspiciously, but many people will nod, or smile or say hi.

Instead of paying $10 or $12 for that luxury coffee, buy a plain old regular coffee and donate the balance to a charity for kids or the homeless or to someone on the street who is down and out. Guaranteed you will feel better.

Write a note or an email to a friend you haven't seen for some time extolling the virtues of your friendship. If you have been feeling guilty about not replying to his or her email and have been putting off replying, this little act of kindness will be guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

If walking on the street, say hi or hello to everyone you come across. If you have never done that, you will be surprised at the reaction from most people. Some will think you are…
