Aviation accounts for about 2 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions. Don’t think that sounds like a lot? Scientists project fossil-fuel-related carbon dioxide emissions will hit a record high of 37.1 billion metric tons by the end of this year. 2% is 740 Million tonnes. 2019 will see approximately 55 million flights worldwide averaging 13 tonnes of C02 per flight.
Don’t go on cruises. One cruise ship creates as much daily pollution as one million cars. Princess Cruises has accumulated over $40 Million in fines for waste dumping.
Do you really need that new I-Phone? Is it really better than a two-year-old or three-year-old model?
Buy used clothing. There are a growing number of used clothing stores everywhere, often with a great variety of even designer clothing.
