A Canadian Cousin’s Take On U.S.A Democracy- Such As It Is
With apologies to Americans who actually care about true democracy.
Canada, a parliamentary democracy, has many political parties. The two main parties on the federal level are the Liberals and the Conservatives. These parties have been around since the founding days of Canada. Over the years, other parties have been added that suit just about every Canadian’s political taste buds.
Federal political parties holding seats in parliament in no particular order of importance are:

Then there are a rag-tag bunch of small parties that always garner some votes. These parties have yet to win a seat in parliament but they at least provide Canadians with a wide range of choices and some very good entertainment.
