An Unsolvable Problem Requires A Solution
The Palestine lands; a bleeding wound on the planet.
I recently read an interesting and revealing book called “Israel: A Simple Guide To The Most Misunderstood Country On Earth.”
After reading this book, with its in-depth historical background on the land (not state) of Palestine, it opened my eyes to many little known facts and historical wrongs inflicted on the residents in this turbulent part of the world. It seems at this time, all the wrongs that have been inflicted appear to be impossible to mend.
The Israel-Palestine conflict is a deeply rooted and complex issue with historical, political, and religious issues intertwined and complicating a conflicted area that pre-dates biblical times.
Crafting a comprehensive solution requires the setting aside of hostilities and the subsequent addressing of concerns and aspirations of both Israel and the Arab world. Recognizing the rights of all people and fostering an environment conducive to lasting peace--if that is at all possible — should be a first priority. While a detailed solution may require incredibly nuanced diplomatic negotiations, the following issues present key elements that could contribute to a resolution if all parties come to their senses:
