Best Sourdough Bread Recipe

Through much trial and error (mostly error), I have developed a fairly simple sourdough bread recipe. It can be a little tricky to create and perseverance is the name of the game. Also keep in mind, many other people have different methods and different recipes. This one works for me.

The first step is you need to create sourdough starter as follows.
Ingredients
1/2 cup (100 grams) whole wheat or rye flour
1/4 cup (50 grams) water (tap water works just fine)

Ingredients to feed your starter
1/2 cup (100 grams) all purpose flour or flour of your choice
1/4 cup cup (50 grams) water

Tools
A digital kitchen scale or measuring cups
A glass mixing bowl as following image

For the starter to grow, a glass jar is preferred as per the image below. One that can hold at least 1 quart (or a litre) as the starter needs room to grow.
