Damn! I Am Fed Up With Big Corporations!

Lack of customer support.

We supposedly live in the age of communication but nothing could be further from truth when it comes to big-biz. Yes, I know I am a curmudgeonly 81 year old who grew up in the dark ages but hell, I cant be the only one who feels this way.

My gripe? Lack of customer service. Now in saying that, there are some good companies out there who still value and encourage customer feed back and who take the time to solve customer problems. Not many. But, they still hold true to the axiom; the customer comes first.

However, new age corporations like Google, Apple, Facebook, Linkedin and their ilk make it as difficult as possible to access “customer service”.

I am getting the run around with Linkedin over payment for a free trial. When promoting their Premium product, the offer a free trial with the notation they will contact you a few days before the free trial ends.

Well, I did NOT get contacted and as a result, $122 was deducted from my credit card. Yes, I know, I should have taken note of the date the free trial ended, something I usually do but in this case I was distracted and did not enter it into my calendar.

When I saw the charge on my credit card, I attempted to find a phone number to call customer service…
