Donald Trump. Putin’s 5th Column?
What is a 5th column? Read on.
The following description is from Wikipedia. “A fifth column is any group of people who undermine a larger group from within, usually in favor of an enemy group or nation. The activities of a fifth column can be overt or clandestine. Forces gathered in secret can mobilize openly to assist an external attack.”
I do not live in the USA (I like socialized medicine too much) and so have the advantage of looking from the outside in. Don’t get me wrong. Americans are fun, innovative, industrious, and good neighbors. However, there is a faction in the USA that seems uncomfortable with democracy and wants to make life uncomfortable for the majority who believe in democracy.
I call them right-wing-nuts.
And, Donald Trump recognized this faction in his run for the 2016 presidency. He played them like a cheap fiddle. He lied to them and used them, turning their own ignorance against them and created the Trump Cult. And, they don’t even know it! To quote Trump himself; very sad.
This group has unwittingly become a 5th column under Trump and his band of cohorts. People like Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, Roger Stone, Brian Kolfage, Michael Flynn, Paul Mannafort, Rick Gates, Michael Cohen, Joe diGenova. The list goes on and on. Literally, a band of crooks.
I never thought I would hear an American say that anyone should be beheaded or drawn and quartered. Bannon did. He implied that FBI Director Christopher Wray and government infectious-diseases expert Dr. Anthony Fauci should be beheaded. DiGenova did. He said that Christopher Krebs, head of Cyber Security should be drawn and quartered, taken out at dawn and shot. You don’t know what drawn and quartered means? Check it out here.
These people are the basis of the 5th Column. And their hero, their chief, Donald J. Trump is in bed with Vladimir (The Radioactive Impaler) Putin. The question has to be asked - why? What exactly does Putin have on Donald J. Trump? Rumors have swirled ever since Trump was elected in 2016 ranging from “weewee” tapes to compromising photos of Trump caught in a “honey trap’. Trump would rather diss and malign his own experts than be critical of Putin.
