Dumb Things America Does
I will try and keep this short though there is lot to cover.
Why the hell do American's insist on calling politicians who have been voted out of office by their past title? And generals who are no longer in the military general. And Secretary General’ s Mr Secretary or Madam Secretary. They are out. Gone Done.They are Ex! or Former!
The dumbest one has to be past presidents. Once you are voted out, you are no longer the President. It is really, really simple. To keep calling Trump, who wasn’t a even a president’s anal region, Mr President is really stupid. He and all the other presidents who were voted out of office are PAST presidents. They are no longer president so why are they called Mr. President?
In countries such as England, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, once the Prime Minister quits or is kicked out of office, he or she reverts back to Mr. or Mrs.
Even in the royal family, when the head of the royal family be it king or queen abdicates (unfortunately they cannot be voted out), they are no longer Queen this or King that.
And Americans carry it through to the ridiculous. Mr. Vice President! How dumb is that? It’s not even a real job.
