There are approximately 2 BILLION CHILDREN in the world under the age of 10. Consider the following numbers;

Worldwide, there are 168 million child labourers, accounting for almost 11% of children on this planet.

According to UNESCO, approximately 263 million children and youth do not attend school. Why? No schools where they live.

Of the above, over 53% of are girls.

The number of children worldwide who suffer from malnutrition? 69 million!

Half of all deaths of children under the age of 5 is due to malnutrition. The number of young victims? 3 million kids a year.

In the developing world, 66 million primary-school-age children attend classes hungry.

In the United States, 16% of all children, a total of 11.6 million kids, live in poverty.

The issue in Europe is equally grim: One child out of 4 or 20 million children live in or near poverty.
