Good Luck And Bad Luck
What is your allotment?
I have reached a point in my life where I have become more reflective on past events in my life and the world in general. Viewing the living conditions of the 7.7 billion human beings on our planet, it seems to me, luck, both good and bad is very unevenly spread amongst the world’s human population. Many people seem to have too much good luck and a vast majority, too little.
What exactly is luck? According to some internet sites, luck can be any of the following, and more:
“Luck is the phenomenon and belief that defines the experience of notably positive, negative, or improbable events.”
“There is no such thing as luck. It isn’t a property, like mass, or an object. Rather, to talk about luck is to talk about how things might easily have gone. … We can’t truly say of someone they’re lucky, meaning they are the kind of person to whom lucky things can be expected to happen.”
“A force that brings good fortune or adversity.”
“Success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s own actions. ie: it was just luck that the first kick went in”
