If I was Provided Three Wishes

Would I want to be selfish or to make the world a better place?

What would you wish for if you had three wishes? Some people I ask this question respond with; “Well, one of my wishes would be for more wishes.” No. Sorry. That does not count.

Included in the fine print on being offered three wishes would be the following:

  • You cannot wish for more wishes
  • Your wishes cannot do any person or animal harm
  • Your wishes cannot benefit you personally

The above rules being taken into account, I would wish for the following in order of importance.

Children: I wish all children be born with the advantages of good health, a good education, caring parents and families, freedom from war, violence, and pedophiles and from abuse. This wish package would include medical care, food, and clean water and a roof over their heads.

Our Biosphere: I wish for an immediate major breakthrough in a renewable, low-cost open-source energy producer that would greatly reduce or eliminate altogether the use of coal, oil, and LNG, the main causes of greenhouse gas and global warming.

World Leaders: I wish for all the male world leaders who are not elected, who are bullies, ignorant…
