John Lennon wrote the song “Imagine” back in 1971. The opening lyrics were:

Imagine there’s no heaven

It’s easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us only sky

Imagine all the people

Living for today

The following lines from the song are really relevant to me and my personal philosophy (in italics):

Imagine there’s no countries

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion too

Imagine all the people

Living life in peace

Imagine no possessions

No need for greed or hunger

Imagine all the people

Sharing all the world

And the world will live as one
