Interesting POV on GDP Harry. You raise some valid points. Regarding health care, I and my family are fortunate enough to live in Canada. We don't pay any monthly premiums and have a care system that pays 100% of all costs for MD visits and hospitalization. We do pay for prescription drugs and dental care. I recently underwent quad bypass surgery. 2 weeks in hospital costs? Not a dime. Both my wife and I have good local doctors. No waiting in line. Yes, there are some issues with Canada's healthcare system but overall it does a damn good job regardless of what the idiot Ted Cruze's and his ilk spout forth. Given the choice to live in Canada or US? Canada hands down.
