Is George Floyd The Iceberg That Sinks The SS Trump?
One would hope so. One would hope the American people wake up en-mass and see what the swamp-creating creature, Donald J. Trump is doing to a country that was created on the ideal that all people are created equal, whether European, Native American or African American. All people have fundamental rights; liberty, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, due process of law, freedom of assembly, freedom from persecution, freedom from religion, and rule of law.
The founders of the US Constitution went to great lengths to insulate politics from organized religion. They also went to great pains to keep their own convictions private. Current president (ahem) Trump is a phony Christian. He claims the bible to be his favorite book when in fact reports indicate he has never read a book in his adult life. According to insiders, he has not even read his own book, Art Of The Deal, ghostwritten by Tony Schwartz.
George Washington was a secret Baptist. The other founding fathers were a mix of agnostics and mono-theists. Regardless of their religious beliefs, their goal was complete separation of church and state as well as the separation of the British American colonies from mother England, its monarchism, and its religious dogma and persecutions.
