It seems to this writer, the dark ages is just around the corner for the United States of America.

Restrictions on women's rights, book banning, rampant discrimination against minorities, abortion bans, “racial” killings, mass killings, rising nationalism, gerrymandering by the GOP and most worrisome, the Supreme Court system being politicized.

The Donald Trump’s, Marjory Taylor Greene’s, Steven Miller’s, Tucker Carlson’s, Matt Gaittz’s, Lauren Boebert’s, et al must be icing on the cake for the isolationists, the crude white supremacists and the “gun ownership at any cost” crowd. With the latter group, this cost includes the lives of the most defenceless — children!

The land of the free and home of the brave? Less a fact and more like wishful thinking from my view point up here in “Communist” Canada.

Of the 74 million or so American voters who cast their ballots for the Trump MAGA brand in 2020, it’s more like the land of the semi-conscious, the unaware and terminally ignorant.

Yes. Canada has its problems as does every country. Some are worse than others. Just a few examples: Trump’s super-hero, Putin the Psychopath, waging war on Ukraine, now into its third year. Israel murdering mostly innocent men, women and…
