More Than 11,000 Scientists Issue Fresh warning: Earth Faces a Climate Emergency

Most humans are either not aware of the above warning or have their headset firmly in the sand.

At last count, there were approximately 7.7 Billion humans existing in various ways on this small planet we call Earth. Almost half of the world’s population, more than 3 billion people, live in poverty, most on less than $2.50 a day. Over 1 billion people live in extreme poverty on less than $1.25 a day. Over 1 billion of the children on this planet are living in poverty with very little hope of ever overcoming their circumstances. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.

Last year, worldwide, billionaire wealth increased an average of $3.3 billion a day, representing a total increase of 12 percent from 2017. In the decade since the 2008 financial crisis, the number of billionaires in the world has nearly doubled. The data is based on the annual Forbes billionaires list.
