According to the experts, the earliest known bread was made about 8,000 BC (the exact date and who made it is unknown) in the Middle East, somewhere. The most likely place was what is now Egypt. The occupants at the time crushed and ground various kinds of wild grain and baked a type of bread that closely resembled Mexican tortilla bread.
