A new writer can spend all his/her time reading instead of writing.

How many articles and blog posts do we need on the subject or variations of: “How To Write For Money on Medium” or “How I Made ($$$s’ — Pick A Number) On Blogging”? Every day on my feed I get 2–3 of these success stories. So the writers are not only writing these articles on how successful they have been and how much money they have made; they all must be reading and writing and researching in their 24 hour days as well.

My question is: Where do they get the time?

When I write an article, it requires choosing an article subject, researching the subject matter, writing the article and then carrying out a number of edits. Then, I leave the story for 4–5 hours (go for a walk, have a coffee, make a couple of phone calls) and then come back to it and carry out another couple of edits. Then there is the time spent selecting images, inserting the credits for the images and writing the text for the visually impaired. For the images, I mostly use Pexels, Pixabay, and Unsplash for my images and often, there is no image that suits my subject…
