I have come to the conclusion there is no such entity as god. And, there never has been.

By the way, I use the small “g” as my feeling is that to capitalize the word god would be providing it with a degree of undeserved legitimacy. Not having a belief in god or a god labels me an atheist in the eyes of many people. However, in my opinion, I am not an atheist as I believe atheism is a form of god belief in that without a god there would be no need for atheism. There is however still a need for humans to have some form of moral code and this is where Humanism caught my attention. The category of humanism fits with my awakening.

I did not suddenly become a non-believer. It was a gradual process and happened over a period of several years. You might say I had an epiphany of sorts.

Over the past ten years, I have read the English version of the Quran or Koran, the Bible - Catholic, and St James versions - the Torah, and the Book Of Mormons. While reading and taking notes, I kept asking myself how could I have believed these books — all purported to be the word of god. And, which god? Currently, there are 4,400 religions in the world. Does that mean 4,400 gods?
